Tanzflächen der Wiedervereinigung - Dancefloors after 1989
about
An exhibition tracing club, youth and subcultural life around the fall of the Berlin Wall through more than 30 archival and artistic perspectives from Berlin and East Germany. Photographs, film, voices and installations occupy SOURCE, the previously hidden underground spaces of Kraftwerk Berlin. Cecilia Tosh contributes METROPOLIS (2026), a multi-channel sound installation bringing machine recordings, East and West German synthesizer sounds and a cleared Blake Baxter sample into the resonant architecture. Spatial audio and technical realisation: Florestan Tschammer; conceptual input: Philipp Priebe; additional mixing: Peryl; sample clearance: Tresor Records. This is an installation contribution, not an advertised live DJ performance. Official exhibition dates: 3 October–9 November 2026. The 3 October opening from 17:00 was invitation-only; public visiting began 4 October. Regular public hours through 8 November: Wednesday–Sunday, 15:00–21:00. Final public day, Monday 9 November: 14:00–18:00, last admission 17:15. All times Europe/Berlin. Free admission, but advance booking of a timed-entry ticket is required; availability is controlled by the organiser. Accessible, no age restriction. Entry via Tresor Club to the basement only: the main Kraftwerk halls are not open for this exhibition.
